The IFEA Foundation helps to support the mission and vision of the IFEA by providing financial support that allows the organization to fulfill its educational goals; goals which further ensure the quality of both the events and the professionals who make up our unique industry. Since its founding in 1993, the IFEA Foundation has provided scholarship assistance to over 200 deserving students, new professionals and financially challenged events, allowing them the opportunity to attend the annual IFEA Annual Convention & Expo, regional training seminars and other special programs. Scholarship recipients are able to return home with new ideas, information and motivation to take their own events and careers, as well as our industry, to the next level.

A Lasting Legacy Connecting Tomorrow's Professionals

Much of the financial support for the IFEA Foundation and, in turn, the IFEA, comes through the generous donations of our IFEA Members through Annual Giving Gifts, Special Fund-Raising Campaigns and our Annual Foundation Auction held each year at the IFEA Annual Convention & Expo.

Over the years, selected individuals and/or groups of individuals have chosen to create an IFEA Legacy Scholarship to:

• honor a professional peer for their outstanding dedication to our industry
• pay lasting tribute to a loved one or a professional colleague who has passed away or
• to insure the continued professional growth of those serving our industry in their region of the world or professional niche of our industry.

It is a special way to connect tomorrow’s professionals with those who have paved the way for us all, ensuring that the future leadership of our industry remain supported and that the named individual, group or organization is recognized in perpetuity for your/their role in our global industry.

The application window for the 2024 IFEA Foundation Scholarships has now closed.
2025 Scholarship applications will be available starting in November 2024.

Each of the IFEA Foundation Legacy Scholarships below serve a selected audience(s) within our industry, as identified, by providing an annual scholarship to the IFEA Annual Convention & Expo (registration only) or other designated programs. We invite you to look through the opportunities, take a moment to learn a little more about the special individuals and groups attached to each, and apply for those that you may qualify for.

Scholarships are for Convention Registration only (with the exception of the Mangeot Scholarship that is for the CFEE program only). Transportation, lodging and optional fees (such as CFEE and Continuing Education courses) will be the responsibility of the recipient.

Some Small Travel Stipends May Be Available -- The IFEA Foundation may have limited funding available to offset some travel expenses. Please complete the related section on page 2 of the application if you would like to be considered for a possible travel allowance.

Scholarship Eligibility
Scholarships are open to applications from IFEA members worldwide, with the exception of the following six scholarships established for U.S. based applicants only:

• The Georgia Festivals & Events Association Scholarship (Georgia members only)
• The Mid-Atlantic Festivals & Events Professional Scholarship (CT, DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, RI, WV members only)
• The Tennessee Festivals & Events Professional Scholarship (Tennessee members only)
• The Pete Van de Putte Scholarship (Texas members only)
• The Joe & Gloria Vera Memorial Scholarship (Texas members only)
• The Kay & Vernon Wolf Scholarship (Texas members only)

The qualifications for each scholarship vary and are summarized in the "Conditions for Application" link under each description below. Applicants may apply for more than one scholarship, if eligible.
