CFEE FAQ's
What is the CFEE FastTrack?
The CFEE FastTrack allows students to register for ALL 6 CFEE Core Classes for the price of $600 for IFEA Members / $995 for Non-IFEA Members. Students would then take the first 3 CFEE Core Classes and then at a later date, take the second 3 CFEE Core Classes all for that price. The FastTrack does not include the CFEE Enrollment Fee, your IFEA Membership, Convention Registration, Virtual Education or your Final CFEE Certification. It just includes the 6 Core classes.
Individual CFEE Core Classes are priced at $195 for IFEA Members / $395 for Non-IFEA Members.
How long do I have to complete my CFEE Certification when I sign up for the CFEE FastTrack?
We recommend students complete the CFEE FastTrack within 2 years. This allows students to start the program, attend 2 Conventions and the CFEE Core Classes that are held prior to the Convention and then also fulfill all the other requirements for the Certification.
We understand that this is not always possible and will work with each student on a case-by-case basis if they need longer than 2 years however the CFEE FastTrack enrollment expires after 5 years.
If it has been longer than 5 years from the time a student starts their CFEE Certification, the student must re-enroll in the CFEE program (paying the Enrollment Fee again) in addition to paying for any remaining CFEE Core Classes still needed at the individual CFEE Core Class rate.
I’m not able to travel to attend the Conventions, how am I able to acquire my Education Credits?
If students are not able to attend the Convention, education credits can be acquired virtually through attendance at the IFEA’s Virtual Affinity Groups and IFEA Online Webinars. A combination of 12 Affinity Groups/Webinars equal 1 Convention. If opting to complete the Education Credit virtually, students must specifically register and pay for the Virtual Educational Credit on the CFEE Registration form. Fees include $200 for each 12 credits.
If a student does not register for the Virtual Education Credit on the CFEE Registration form prior to attending any Affinity Groups/Webinars, their attendance will not count towards a student’s CFEE Certification.
I need to fulfill my speaking requirement for my CFEE – how do I do that?
There are a few ways to complete the speaking requirement, ranging from speaking at the IFEA Annual Convention, a Seminar or Affinity Chapter Convention or an IFEA Webinar. For other approved options to complete the speaking requirement, please contact Cindy Lerick CFEE, CFEE Program Coordinator at cindy@ifea.com.
Does IFEA keep track of all of my CFEE requirements and what I have accomplished so far?
While the IFEA does have attendance records for students completing any IFEA Webinar/Affinity Group/Convention etc., if anything is completed through a non-IFEA path, we will not have record of it. Therefore, keeping track of all of the completed CFEE Program requirements is the responsibility of the CFEE Student and can be done so by using the CFEE Certification Checklist here: https://files.ifea.com/CFEE/2022CFEECertificationChecklist.pdf Please attach all additional documentation attached to this form. We are happy to assist with this process if something is misplaced.
It is preferred that students keep a file for all of their CFEE requirements and documentation of attendance/completion and turn in the completed file when ready to graduate.
How long does my CFEE Certification last? Do I need to recertify?
As an executive involved in the profession, you will have no difficulty maintaining your certification. Since 2003, recertification is required every five years. To recertify, you must fulfill the requirements listed and submit a completed Recertification Report Form in the fifth year after your original date of certification. Once you reach age 55, you are a CFEE for life. There is no separate charge for recertification, with the exception of any fees related to attending the required conventions and courses.
